How to insert pictures in Word
So now yo understand the importance of graphics or pictures or images in a word document. Now learn how to insert images in word document. Ms word provides three ways to insert pictures:
Insert picture from computer: Sometimes you have saved your pictures in your computer. You may have created a painting in MS Paint or any other tool for diagrams, figure or any other purpose. Now you want to insert the same. You need to use this option.
Insert picture online: Sometimes we do no have pictures in our computer. That time we need search picture on internet and insert in the document. So you need to download the picture and then insert picture, but MS Word provide a direct option to fulfill your need of insert picture online.
Create your own shapes and convert into graphics: You can use different autoshapes and create a new picture.
Crop means removing the unwanted part from images or pictures. To crop images in MS word follow these steps:
Step 1: Select on the picture you want to crop. An additional tab Picture Tools will appear on the ribbon with Format tab.
Step 2: Click on format tab.
Step 3: Select crop option from size group. Select appropriate crop option out of following:
Crop: It will crop the image as you drag the mouse from the drag handle.
Crop to shape: You can crop an image in a specific shape.
Aspect Ratio: You can crop image in a specific ratio like square, portrait, landscape etc.
Fill: Fill the cropped image in selected area.
Fit: Fit the cropped image on the selected area.
How to move a picture freely in MS Word?
When you insert a picture in MS Word it won’t move freely in the document. Have you tried that? If not then try, picture moves but not freely. Step 1: Select the picture.

The position command is used to set the picture’s position on the page. You can set picture horizontally and vertically. So horizontally it can be:
